I guess almost all of you have heard of Avene. Yup, it's famous for its Thermal Spring Water, especially the Thermal Spring Water Spray. If you notice, i have review about the spray, you can check here. Anyway i want to tell you a little about Avene and it's Micellar Lotion:
"Avène has over 270 years of expertise in caring for sensitive skin and is trusted by millions worldwide. At the heart of the brand is Avène Thermal Spring Water, a natural soothing source clinically shown by over 150 studies to soothe, soften and calm the skin.
The discovery of the medical quality of the Saint Odile spring in Avène was on 1736. A horse belonging to the Marquis of Rocozels was turned loose to roam the slopes of the Black Mountain in the southwest of France due to a severe skin disease. It found a thermal spring near Avène. After drinking from the spring and rolling in its waters, the horse's coat became shiny again and soon its skin disease was completely cured. The Marquis of Rocozels, who was then the owner of the site, builds the first thermal spring facility in Avène to treat patients suffering from atopic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, and burns.

The therapeutic properties of Avène Thermal Spring Water rapidly attracted the attention of doctors at the Montpellier facility which became the authority in Europe. The greatest dermatological authorities recommended Avène Thermal Spring Water, thus confirming its efficacy and contributing to its reputation. Then in 1871 the USA discovers the virtues of Avène Thermal Spring Water which is sent to soothe burns victims from the Great Chicago Fire.
The reputation of the Avène Hydrotherapy center quickly grows, and Avène Thermal Spring Water, known for its soothing properties to treat skin diseases, is acknowledged by the French government to be of "public benefit". In 1966 Avène Hydrotherapy Center is approved for reimbursement by the French Social Security System.
After that, Avène Hydrotherapy Center is purchased by Pierre Fabre Laboratories (the 2nd largest private pharmaceutical company in France today). Then in 1990 a full line of skincare products is created using Avène Thermal Spring Water as the key ingredient to bring the benefits of Avène to the rest of the world. Not far from the old baths, they also add a new Avène Hydrotherapy Center with modern day facilities to accommodate up to 2,000 patients. The Hydrotherapy Center is connected directly to the source of the spring to ensure the quality of Avène Thermal Spring Water.

Twelve years of research reveals the discovery of a unique microflora in Avène Thermal Spring Water, Aqua. Dolomiae, which is responsible for calming itching sensations and irritations on the skin. This unique biological property, together with the mineral properties, create a double signature in the Avène Thermal Spring Water that does not exist anywhere else in the world."
So, the Avene Thermal Spring Water is actually really amazing and useful for our skin and it's pretty much cool how the mineral properties does not exist anywhere else in the world except on the Avene Thermal Spring Water. If you read my review about the spray you know i really love the spray because it can soothe my allergy or itch. Now i'm really happy to try the Micellar Lotion that already been sold in Indonesia since 2015! Before i start on my review i would like to tell you about this Micellar Lotion.

Avene Micellar Lotion is a 3-in-1 no rinse cleanser, toner and make-up remover based on a micelle principle that releases cleansing agents upon contact with the skin leaving it soft and moisturized. It also contain a really minimum ingredients, so it's free from paraben and really save for a sensitive skin.

Make-up remover
Micelle molecules gently and effortlessly lift away impurities and make-up. Your skin is left perfectly clean and refreshed. Can also be used as eye make-up remover and you won't need to rinse your face after using it. It simply remove your makeup leftover, even the waterproof ones. Avene Micellar Lotion can work perfectly to lift away impurities and makeup, because it works with Affinity Attraction concept, where when the oil on this cleanser meets the oil on the face, they'll adhere to each other due to the same texture.

Moisturising
Enriched with hydrating ingredients to nourish and care for the skin, so it won't leave your skin feels dry after usage.

Soothing
Avene Micellar Lotion used 99% of Avène Thermal Spring Water, which will soothing, softening and provides your skin with an instant feeling of comfort. It also has this cool sensation everytime you use it that makes it different with the other micellar water on stores.

Now you know all the claim about this pretty cool Avene Micellar Lotion, now let's see how it really works on my skin :)

PACKAGING & USAGE
     Let's see the packaging first:

Well, the packaging is real simple with a clear transparent slim plastic bottle, nothing too special about it. The cap can easily open and no leaking so far, so it's quite secure.

Directions for use:
Apply in the morning and evening to face and eyes with a cotton pad. Repeat using a fresh cotton pad if necessary. Finish the cleansing process with a fine mist of Avène Thermal Spring Water.

Ingredients:
Water (Avene Thermal Spring Water), Pentylene Glycl, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Cetrimonium Bromide, Disodium Edta, Fragrance, PEG-40 Hyfrogenated Castor Oil, Sclerotium Gum, Sodium Chlodire.

How it works so far:

I've been using it for some times now and i even only bring this cleanser when i was away to Singapore last weekend. I love the result so far! Seriously i don't need much when cleaning my face. As you can see in the picture, it can clean very good. Even though i kinda need extra work to clean the black liquid lipstick and gel eyeliner. But it was fine because it is kinda hard to clean even when i use the oil cleanser.
Anyway it can clean my waterproof mascara perfectly, all i have to do it pat the cotton around few seconds before wipe it away and repeat the process for 2-3 times. Doesn't really need a hardwork, that's why i love it so much. Even though it great at cleansing makeup, unfortunately it kinda sting when get into my eyeball (doesn't really bother me though), but be careful around eyes. Anyway, it really nice for my skin, it doesn't irritate and quite moisturized the skin after using it.

OVERALL REVIEW

I love the performance so far! Even though it kinda little bit sting in the eye, but so far the micellar water does the job well. It's nice and soothing my acne skin. I don't need to cleanse with oil cleanser afterward because it works nicely for waterproof makeup ones. I can use it all over my face, it works on eyes and lips.

Pro:
+ no paraben
+ great for sensitive skin
+ soothing & cool feeling
+ hypoallergenic and non comedogenic
+ leaving the skin moist (not dry)
+ doesn't irritate the skin
+ no rinse
+ all in one (for face, lips and eyes)
+ no need to cleanse with oil cleanser afterward
+ great for cleaning up makeup (even the waterproof ones)
+ the bottle is slim, so i can still easily put it on my bag if needed
Cons:
- a bit expensive
- a bit sting when it got to my eyeball

Overall Rating: 4/5

 ---
Well, even though it kinda expensive, it actually worth the price. I especially love how it soothe and moisturized my skin, plus it can remove those annoying waterproof mascara! I quite recommend it if you want to try it! Anyway you can get it easily at drugstore like Guardian or Watson. You can also get it at Galleries Lafayette Pacific Place Mall and enjoy the buy 1 get 1 promo (buy the micellar lotion and get the 50ml spray). So don't forget to give it a try guys!      Anyway that's all my review for now, i hope you enjoy it. See you guys on my next post!

Love,
Auzola
